If you want to add the collar after installing the tree you can part assemble the collar and add the final section under the tree. For larger tree stands you can assemble the collar as 2 halves and wrap them around the tree base and fit the final wing nuts under the tree. The modular design means it can be added to an already decorated tree without having to lift the tree up or clear the tree of decorations as you would with a solid tree stand.
- Tree Sizes - For artificial Christmas trees this metal tree skirt is suitable for most 6ft trees, 7ft trees, 7.5ft trees and 8ft trees. For larger trees we always recommend measuring the width of your Christmas tree stand to ensure that it can fit in the 68cm (26.8 in) diameter of the tree collar base (it can fit many 9ft and 10ft artificial tree bases, but not all). For real trees it's suitable for the majority of popular tree stands which hold trees from 6ft - 10ft. For shorter 4ft and 5ft artificial trees this red tree collar is too big. However for some smaller real trees which have a wide, bushy branch base of at least 1 metre / 40 inches across it can still work well.

You should measure the maximum width of your tree stand to ensure it will fit within the tree collar diameter of 68cm and also ensure you have 25.4cm of clearance from the floor to the first branches of the tree to ensure trouble free installation.
